- Oct 2011 The NVT Vision Rehabilitation System will soon be available at two new sites in Scotland. The Falkirk Sensory Impairment Center will host the training program for staff from Forth Valley Sensory Centre at Falkirk, Scottish War Blinded and the Guide Dogs Association. The training program, commencing at the end of October, will greatly expand the services for people with neurological vision loss in this region. It is hoped that the involvement of Guide Dogs staff will pave the way for Guide Dogs in other regions to become involved in services for people with vision loss through stroke of TBI.

- Oct 2010 Plans for the introduction of the NVT program as part of services offered to children and adolescents in the education sector have now come to fruition. This exciting new application for the use of the NVT Vision Rehabilitation Program is taking place at the West of England School and College for young people with little or no sight. This progressive school based at Exeter, in the United Kingdom, is currently participating in an intensive training program for a number of their staff. The multidisciplinary team involved in the implementation of the new program includes a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Orientation and Mobility Instructor and Teacher. The development of visual skills using the systematic assessment and training protocols contained in the NVT software will be a useful tool for the habilitation of the learners, where brain injury is one of the primary contributing causes of their vision loss.

The article outlines the use of the NVT System as part the Comprehensive Neurological Vision Rehabilitation (CNVR) Program, a service provided through the Western Blind Rehabilitation Center, at Palo Alto VA Health Facility, California.
