The NVT Training Packages have been developed to provide an understanding of the concept and processes involved in the NVT Vision Rehabilitation System for therapy staff who wish to implement the NVT system into their current rehabilitation programs.
It has also been developed for professionals to gain a better understanding of Neurological Vision Deficits following ABI/TBI and how vision deficits will impact on the patient's quality of life and activities of daily living.
The NVT Training package is for therapists who will implement the NVT Vision Rehabilitation System into their current rehabilitation program. It will include:
SOFTWARE TRAINING
- Part 1: Training in the use of the software package for collecting and management of client data.
- Part 2: Training in the use of the software to collate and record standardized assessments and therapy sessions.
NVT SCANNING DEVICE TRAINING
- Part 1: Training in the use of the NVT Scanning Device as an assessment tool highlighting visual scanning deficits associated with the presence of visual field loss such as Homonymous Hemianopia and other visual perceptual or visuo-spatial deficits, visual inattention or visual neglect.
- Part 2: Training in the use of the NVT Scanning Device as a training tool for teaching compensatory scanning exercises and related training exercises which will enhance the patient's functional use of residual vision
TRANSFER SKILLS TO HOME AND COMMUNITY
Part 1: Transfer of compensatory scanning skills for use in all areas of activities of daily living and mobility into the patient's home and community setting.- Part 2: Provision of skills to enable therapy staff to determine the need for a mobility aide and/or restrictions to travel limits.
ON-SITE CLIENT VISION TRAINING PROGRAM
The NVT clinical training staff provides on-site supervision and training for rehabilitation professionals whilst therapist conduct initial functional evaluations and training with their own patients. NVT can also assist individual facilities in the development of rehabilitation services for patients with a neurological vision deficit.
OTHER TRAINING PROGRAMS
NVT can assist you by developing and providing individualized seminars, workshops or training programs to met the needs of your facility and therapy staff.
