The NVT Software Program is an integral part of the package and provides a comprehensive patient management system which is easily able to review patient progress through the assessment and therapy program at a glance.
All assessment results taken pre and post therapy are automatically documented within the software and form the basis of providing standardised outcome measures for the NVT Vision Rehabilitation program for individual patients and between patients.
All evaluation and training tasks using the NVT Scanning Device and additional validated tools are standardised using the NVT Software Package. The software program also provides a template for recording client demographic details, information regarding the ABI/TBI and related physical and cognitive deficits. Results of additional clinical measurements relating to visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, ocular motor function and physical function are also recorded as they are known to impact on the ability of the patient to function independently in mobility and other tasks of daily living.
A patient evaluation or training report can be automatically compiled within the software which will improve productivity allowing staff more time for patient contact.
The NVT software is provided with a dedicated laptop to run the unique client management, functional assessment, and training components of the NVT System. There are two software programmes; one for those facilities who wish to only provide training to patients and the second is a comprehensive format for facilities that wish to be involved in research. The NVT system and software is currently being used in research being conducted in Australia, Scotland and USA.
